Yes, I think that is what we are going to do. But what do you mean by nobody else is doing it?

All the other major minigames change everything every week they do it. I think it'd be cool for someone to challenge that idea of what a minigame should "have to do".

Well, it would be no fun if nothing changed at all, but with the scale we are talking about, no big changes can happen, only little things like small buildings and the chests, obviously.

Adirem, I finally checked out the city, thank you for fencing it off to make it easier. You do have a backup of the world where it's not rundown, right? Anyway, it's still very big, and I'm wondering if maybe people won't venture out of the city simply because they don't know that there is more to the island. Oh, and is this where you want the control building and the start platforms?


Also, I'm hoping that the sewer won't mess up the build when I copy/paste it in, but I really want to keep the sewer. Maybe we could continue the sewer out to the end of the island and have the water falling out the side of the island, cause every floating island has a waterfall.

That was from Adirem's town we are putting on the island. It is amazing, I applaud him.
EDIT: Adirem I think I found the place where we can put the starting chambers, is this actually where you were talking about? It's more in the center of the city so it's better than the other spot.

I can't wait till this thing starts! All this hype about a mini game is really making me more and more curious about this! I can't wait and good job to all the staff of Survival Games!

It is still going to be at least a couple weeks till we get it all sorted out. :P
And we have very few people on staff, if anyone wants to help out please apply under map designer or if you want to play apply under player application.

Yeah, I think I will use that spot I showed earlier for the starting chambers. The subway/sewer is nowhere near so that shouldn't be a problem. Hopefully once I successfully copy and paste I can get started on the fun terraforming!

Guys...I was trying to copy and paste a section of the city onto the island and I messed up. Because my computer sucks, it closed minecraft. So, now I can't undo it. It ruined the entire thing. WHAT DO I DO?!!?!?! I spent such a long time on this! And because I am stupid, I didn't do a backup of the world -_- AAAAAA I am so mad.

OK I've calmed down and told myself that that was the rough draft, not the final thing. So I know what do do know and I will begin rebuilding shortly.

I think I've figured out a much better layout for the starting chambers then what I had before:


The rebuild is going along well; it's close but not exactly the way it was before. So, if I can get someone to (when I'm ready) copy and paste Adirem's city where I specify on the island, that would be great. Because, as I learned the hard way, my computer doesn't like large or even medium World Edits. Also, just for the record, we currently have more map designers than players.
I am also looking for a staff who could do some small things during the game like setting players to Adventure mode and relaying items from sponsors to players. Thanks!
EDIT: Oh, and I've been using light-grey wool for the walls and stonebrick for the floor because it looks good in my texture pack, but do you guys have a better combination?

I don't know what you wanted, but I pretty much extended the starting tubes above the main area. I left it wide open so you wouldn't have to rearrange stuff to fit the city around it.

When you get the city where you want it (also, the dirt continues down a ways so make sure you don't hurt the interior) I will start work on the rest of the island.
Oh, some tubes are like a block out of place, but I had to look pretty hard to tell.
