Results for the first annual Help Oasis Raise Awareness for Cancer Donation Drive

Ok guys, this is it.  What we have all been waiting for all month.

Want you guys to know the server pulled in A LOT OF MONEY compared to a normal month.  And I had JUST made my $50 donation like I promised.  As well as mads lost bet from the owner games athon we had after last promos (another $50 from him.)

The server its self pulled in $715 for the month.  This is really good for a small gaming community like ours.

So we will be donating a grand total of $857.50 once the site lets me cuz i just tried and its giving me errors.

Wait....wut?  %15*715 + mikes 1 for 1 isnt 857.5.  No it isnt.  YES!  WE INCREASED THE % FROM 15% TO A WHOOPING %50.  YES THAT IS RIGHT.  WE DONATED HALF OF THIS MONTHS DONATIONS TO CANCER RESEARCH!

Still doesnt add up does it?  THAT IS BECAUSE MIKE WENT AHEAD AND DONATED THE FULL 500 MATCH INSTEAD OF 1 TO 1 MATCH!

HOW AWESOME IS THAT?!?!?!

$857.50 from a small gaming community like ours is a lot.  And I am proud that we were able to pull it off.  You guys are awesome, and I cant wait to do this again next year!

I'm stunned. That's absolutely amazing, there's nothing else to say about this...truly. That's amazing. I'm sorry for a lack of proper wording but all I can say is...wow. Truly and amazingly so, wow. This community is amazing, through and through.

I'm just stunned by the sheer amount of money this community got together for breastcancer research. This made my day. I've got no other words for it, it's truly amazing.

This is honestly incredible! Never have I ever seen such a cooperative and supportive community like this! I'm so happy that I found this server. This is definitely something to be proud of! Thanks for being super awesome everyone!

Very few people donate to charity in general, and considering the size and demographic of our servers, this is an amazing feat. I have always been proud to be apart of Oasis, and this is one of the countless reasons why :)

We should be proud of our selfs, we are one.

I knew when i first joined that the people here were not like other smp servers.. We are amazing and I mean every bit of this when i say I consider all you not friends, but family.

No, Mike and I decided since all forms of cancer has touched most of us here, that it would be more appropriate to donate the money to ACS, American Cancer Society. Which will benefit everyone.

Also I would like to tell ya'll that my wife said that she is very greatful for this community and the effort everyone put into it in order to make this a thing. She is very proud of us and this accomplishment. "Thanks!"

I want to say this right here and right now.

There are many organizations that we could have donated to. The Tomorrow Fund, The Jimmy Fund, The Prevent Cancer Foundation, Susan B. Komen, the list goes on and on.

Pax and I selected the ACS because of how wide of an impact range cancer has. We wanted to help EVERYBODY who has cancer, be it brain, colon, lung, kidney, or breast. And the ACS are a really great group of people who are united to do just that - help all cancer patients and continue the evergoing effort to research more and increase our knowledge of this horrid disease.

Thank you all so much for helping us with this drive. Both Pax and I really appreciate all the help and support you all provided. Cancer is a bitch, and the fact that we could rally and come together to fight a common cause is amazing. You guys are fantastic.
