Nova, here's my set design for your performing arts center. The glowstones in the floor were distracting, so I took them out or concealed them.



This set is for the Ersington Players production of August: Osage County, by Tracy Letts.

Today I tore down the August: Osage County set to make room for a new set, which will be (Yeah, it's another home interior) Buried Child, by Sam Shepard.

I was sad to see August go...


This is about where I got the most depressed.

Almost there, except for a furnace, stone, chest, and some fences that I don't currently have room for, since the entire set is in my inventory right now.

Do you just make sets then destroy them?

well, that's how theater works!
I try to improve each time. This is the first time I've torn down a set on this server. I've made a plan to leave each set up for about two weeks, and then tear it down and build a new one.

Eh, I'll admit. I'm not as proud of this one. It's less technically impressive. But then again, the set of Buried Child is intended to invoke thoughts of a prison, a vast empty room, and a lack of hope.

Make one about a Chezburgah Zombie Apocalipse...

Like a Miner, a Doctor, a Builder and a Soldier against the world, with a Epic Scenario. Thats would be cool :D

That would be sweet, love the stage by the way!

I built a new set today...Well, it's ALMOST finished. There's one more detail I have to add, but that's just my little secret...
The two platforms on the brick building are for the opening number, in which the Supreme Girls are on the fire escape.
The window in the iron building is for Audrey during her "Somewhere That's Green" solo. And the door at stage left leads to the basement, where Audrey II will (once I get around to that little secret above) be lurking around. Note: This is my first set to actually go UNDER the stage! The basement door leads to a ladder in the back for actors.

These are the Audrey II vines that emerge to envelop the stage during the show's finale, "Don't Feed the Plants."
