I know that Veteran promotions will not be held until the 1.9 update is released and the server has a map reset, but I am getting a head start by planning early :)

Why do you deserve Veteran status? What sets you apart from the other Trusted players?:

Helpfulness: I enjoy lending a hand to friends and strangers in need. I know a lot about the game and the server, so whenever someone needs assistance i'm glad to see what I can do. I have the perks of a Veteran, so the Staff know they can trust me with the commands, but since the day I've joined Oasis, my ultimate goal was to earn the rank of Veteran. 

Loyalty: I have been a part of the community on Oasis since January of my 6th grade year. I'm now a Junior in High school and still going strong. Although I realize I'm not as active as I should be, 5 years of being a part of any minecraft server is a sign of commitment in my eyes, and I hope everyone else sees that as well. Not only that, but I have contributed to the community as a whole by introducing some players we know and love (bandityogo and rkawesome)
to our humble server.

Social: I feel that getting to know the individuals of the community is an important trait for a Veteran to have. I'm aware I'm not very popular on the server due to a lot of inactive cycles, but I do love chatting with friends and strangers when i'm on, so If you happen to see me on the server don't be afraid to say hi:). I enjoy greeting people as they join, and I'm always available for more personal conversations with anyone that may need help with life or even minecraft. Occasionally I may join the server to do more building instead of talking, but I'm always available for questions and comments with the new and old. In addition, I often will try to give back to the community by offering to help others the best I can by building or just playing the game with them.

Activity: Looking back to 2011, I realize that I have not been active for a continuous 5 years on the server, but I feel that is to be expected. School, life, and my daily hobbies have had an impact on when I play. However, I can most certainly discern the first 2 years of my existence on the server as my prime. I was active almost daily, however my activity slowed the years following. Recently, I've been online much more and have gotten to know other players, which is great because each one has a different story to their life and I can't wait to hear them all. I know I've been inactive for an extended period of time more than once, but in my recent activity I feel that I have gotten to talk to a lot of other members and am semi-popular on Oasis.

Contribution to the Game: My most recent minecraft project has gotten a lot of people doing nice things for each other(the giant christmas tree), and although some personal conflictions were involved in stabilizing the warp name, they were cleared up and everything is looking great. I've been involved with other players towns, buildings, etc., and have contributed my own creations to the server as well. I would like to believe I'm a decent builder, but that is left to the opinions of others. My personal character is aimed more towards bringing everyone together, and towards the end of the day, that is what matters.

Conclusion: I know Veteran isn't supposed to be a popularity contest, but at the end it's the sad truth it boils down to. With respect, I ask for a fair judgement based on my character rather than how often I can or cannot be online.  I've been on Oasis for quite some time now and have a pretty solid understanding of the way the server works. I love helping players with any problems they may have, whether it has to do with real life or minecraft. My enjoyment comes from being involved in the community on our server. I would like to take a moment to thank everyone for their time in reading my application, and thank the community for all the excitement brought to my life from this game. God bless.

I think you would make a great vet! Unfortunately, there will be no vet promos until 1.9, which seems a ways away. As such, I will withold my judgement until then as circumstances do change. I would also recommend you apply at a more suitable time.

Thanks for the support guys. With the server updating to 1.9 just around the corner and Vet promotions coming soon, I'm just gonna leave a bump to remind you guys of your favorite artisan :3 Now, I know there will be promos at the end of this month, but at the same time I'm unaware if there will be Vet promos because I'm uncertain if we will be updated to 1.9 by then. Either way, I'm very excited for the update. On the other hand, I've enjoyed being more active on the server and playing with a bunch of you :)

This is understandable. Regardless, it might be wise not to dwell on what once was. Our good friends put alot of effort into that name change, right? Lets try to embrace it
