Why is the server not working?!

I keep trying to log on but it keeps telling me the server is outdated. What is going on and why won't it let me join

Your minecraft client probably did an auto-update from Mojang. I believe there is an option in the launcher that lets you revert back to 1.6.2 , so that you can join again.

Will the server eventually be updated to 1.6.4?

The server WILL eventually be updated, but I do not know when.  All the plugins need to update first, and I'm assuming that the server still runs on Bukkit so we need to wait for that as well.  This is all just what I remember from working with servers, so things may have changed but as far as I know they have stayed the same.  For now, look for this area when you start up your launcher, and click 'Edit Profile'. 


Now you should see this: 


Look for the 'use version' option indicated here:


Change that to 1.6.2 and you are good to go :).

when will the 1.7.2 update be ready? i can't wait much longer and i have something really important to say to someone[!]

Way to revive a thread that died in september....
We will update when a stable bukkit is released... If you have something you desperately need to tell someone, downgrade to 1.6.4
