Why do you deserve Veteran status?:
These are the responsibilities and expectations that I have of higher rank players:
* Assisting guests with the basics (lockette, shops, rules, warp)
* Inviting guests to join the community (voting, forums, member app)
* Helping members to get established and stay active
* Being available to help with building and to give feedback
* Being knowledgeable of all things Minecraft
* Active both in-game and on the forums
* Know the Ranks, perks, donator perks and how to donate
* Be a role-model of the rank/status you possess
* excercise restraint with spawned items and teleportation
* Keep Oasis SMP - encourage others to play legit
After I got promoted to Artisan - and especially after I got custom colors - I've discovered just how much the Oasis community relies on the higher-ranked members. New players frequently ask me for help with the basic stuff, so I do my best to help them get settled in. I also help players with reporting griefs when staff are offline, and I patrol for griefs when I'm not busy. Sometimes people ask me to provide feedback on their builds, or to show them my builds - since I really enjoy building, this is a lot of fun for me. Since I got the teleport perk, I have gotten used to dropping whatever I'm doing to go help other players.
For me, the most important part of Oasis is the SURVIVAL MULTI-PLAYER part of the game. Therefore, I think perks should only be used sparingly, for special situations. I build legit and avoid spawned items - I prefer to participate in the iConomy with everyone else. I encourage everyone to play legit SMP: gather resources, explore the map, and participate in the iConomy. Playing legit is more fun, and it brings people together.
I believe that I am well-qualified for the rank of Veteran. Please reply to this post with your vouches and/or feedback.

Yeah, I vouch. My only suggestion is to be a bit more calm when it comes to certain situations but other than that i'd love to see you as a Veteran as you fit all other personal criteria.

I think he deserves veteran so I vouch for him, he is really canny and legit. trust me I have played with grim in flake town for nearly a year now and I know as one of his friends that he does not spawn or cheat or grief or any of the maloarcy. He deserves veteran and that's why he has my vote. VOUCH

The Perks exist as a reward for a person's contribution to the Oasis community. Whether that contribution is money, time, or something else, those contributions keep the Oasis community alive and growing.
The Ranks exist as a formal recognition of a person's contribution to the community. Each rank comes with more permissions and perks to enable dedicated players to better serve the community.
Veteran is the highest non-staff rank, so it comes with the highest responsibilities. I don't actually need /i or TPA to fulfill the role of a Veteran - those perks just make it much easier. There are definitely situations where I will use /i to contribute in ways that are impractical without spawning items; for example, I would use /i to fix terrain damage or fill in a lake.
I believe that people don't need spawned items to have fun on Oasis SMP. I think that I can help to improve the Oasis community by encouraging others to adopt this outlook.

Correction, that's Architect, and in my opinion, if you want to be a good builder (A real good one, like Adir omgiloveuadir) you do need to spawn items, or you'd waste too many time gathering resources.
You can play without /i, but if you're aiming for a high position like Architect, you should use it.

I'm gonna say Vouch, Grim is a great player and would set a great role model for others trying to achieve veteran not only this but it would help him expand his already great use of blocks within minecraft to create interesting and creative builds and designs. So, You have one vouch from me :D

Vouch, I have seen Grim play for a while now and I have thought for the last few weeks that he had the attributes of a good veteran, which I think is only just another step for him to become guide and perhaps more. He has certain characteristics that remind me of Vampiresfire, an old player who gave a lot to the community, for those that do not know him. Vamp played to help the community and the impact he created was missed by many when he left. At least it was for me. He put the community of oasis first and I think Grim holds those same ideals as him, a player for the community that helps make Oasis a better place. Grim deserves veteran and other ranks to come.
