Magazines are Outdated: Feel Free to Rant

It has been of discussion lately that Oasis has had an influx of magazines. Magazines, please feel free to defend yourselves if you see fit. All are welcome to their own opinion. Democracy, son.

My personal opinion is that this trend of naming oneself after some sort of magazine has gotten silly and out of hand. Ever since Mojang let you people change your names yall have been ridiculous. Dont get me wrong, theres nothing wrong with having a unique username to identify with. As I recall, our first magazine was Health. Now we have all sorts of subscriptions. I think its time for an intervention. Start getting creative again, people.

Community: You have the floor. We're having a good old fashioned debate. Or just a series of rants. Too soon to tell. 
Or nobody responds and I just look dumb.

tbh imho I'm getting tired of all the magazines 1. like you said there's no creativity in the names ( i know i cant say much) 2. theres less variety in the names in the community. Everyone's different and yet a whole ton of people have jumped on the magazine bandwagon. Be yourself guys. 3. its just getting annoying with all the magazines. this is minecraft not a waiting room. (just a joke   )

all that said, i respect all your choices and will not try to convince you to change your names. Just putting my opinion out there if anyone cares to read it.

or nah.. because its their choice to choose the name and it shouldnt be a problem to you guys. Dont like it? dont do it.. It doesnt effect you. dont try to fix whats not broken (this thread) :D

As I see it, there is no reason to take personal offence over it.
Unless you are taking personal offence, leave off them and shut it.

Stop attacking people for doing what they want on a video game.

Why did I name my character SheepMagazine? Because I like HealthMagazine and my magazine friends, and I thought it would be fun to show support and become part of the neat magazine club. I didn't do it to "annoy" any of you. I did it to have a good time on a videogame, for the sheer tiny moments I actually log on anymore.

I get it may annoy some of you, but can you not simply ignore it and move on? If anything this negativity is just feeds the fire and makes the "magazines" more ampt to annoy you. If people have changed their usernames simply to annoy the server they're doing it for the wrong reason. Don't hold everyone accountable for a few annoying ones.
You know what I feel like doing? Naming all my alts magazines and continue to show support to those who just wanted to have fun with this. They came out to have a good time, but honestly I think the they just feel so attacked right now. I certainly do.

You wanted a rant, so there.

I kinda agree, although, tbf, I don't like any name changes. I keep myself as mickdude2 because people can recognize it. i have no idea who any of these new magazines are. If I was friends with them before, sorry, but I don't recognize you anymore.
