Wave Survival - What is it?

Wave Survival is one of the longest standing mini-games on Oasis SMP and has run since late 1.2.

It is a mini-game where players endeavor to survive against mobs, the last player standing is the winner. Players will go to /Warp WS at 8pm GMT every Saturday (2PM EST) [And sometimes Sundays!] and will be let into our arena, the theme changes each week, one week it could be rainbows, the next apocalypse, anything could be in there! When players get in there are some starting chests with items so they can equip with the basics. They will then try and survive in the arena while mobs are spawning in from all directions. There are many hidden chests in the arena with much better items as well, so they are a secondary aim of the game. Depending on the length of the game there could be anything from Zombies to Withers so it will be a true test of survival. The top 3 get points for our Leader Board where at the end of the WS season a champion is crowned. The winner will also receive in game money to buy items in shops around the server.

From now on the WS event will have 2 main parts:

GAME #1 - Solo

Players will fight independently to be crowned the champion

Prize Money: 3000 coins

Game #2 - Team

Players will be split into fairly even teams and will fight with their fellow members. The game will continue until only members from one team are left. ALL members of the winning team will receive 100 coins regardless of if they died or not.
