How long have you been playing on this server?
Six months-ish.

How often do you plan on being on this server?
As much as possible when I'm not busy [and normally I am never busy], but since school is starting soon, I'll be getting on for a few hours daily at the very least.

Why do you deserve Guide status? What sets you apart from the other players and would make you a good part of the staff?

One of the main reasons why we [Grace and myself] considered applying for Guide was because of the infamous ~ * ~ time gaps ~ * ~. You know the ones. There are a few 2-3 hour blocks of time during the day/late at night when there's literally NO staff on, and like 92873419827312 new players decide to join all at once. As active as the staff is, there's just no way to have someone watching the server 24/7 with the amount of people you guys have right now. I'm sure you guys could use the extra help, hence the application.

In addition to that, we've always tried our best to help our fellow members out any way we could, being staff or not. Handing out food, explaining the rules, trying to keep the peace, etc. I know there's more to staffing than being friendly and handing out cookies, but being generally kind and helpful is a large part of the job, too.

A few people have suggested that we apply for Guide because of that, so that’s what we’re doing. Being a Guide would make helping a lot easier, and it would make giving a hand to other staff members who can’t always be online easier, too. We like to think we’re friendly with everyone on the server for the most part, and honestly; we just want to help out any way we can.

I'd also like to mention that I have in fact been an admin and co-owner of a few minecraft servers in the past. I'm not talkin' like a local server between friends [because I have run my own for those purposes, as well]. I mean an actual server, with plugins, and a decent player base. To give a little background info, it was a bukkit multi-verse server that had SMP, Pvp/Anarchy, Creative, and Prison worlds with a whole arsenal of plugins. While I didn't have full access to the console all the time, our tech guy was teaching me bit by bit as the server came along. It eventually closed down because our tech got bored, but the point I'm trying to make is that I am decently savvy with server maintenance/logblock/other admin commands. I know I'm only applying for Guide, and that they don't have access to super technical/console-y things, I just figured I'd mention it because this feels like a resume anyway. Prior work experience and all that. :s I have pretty good experience working with rowdy players as well, since I was mostly dealing with idiots in the pvp/anarchy world on my old server. I know how crazy things can get, even if we're a mostly SMP server.

Point: I know what I'm getting myself into, and am decently experienced enough to handle the job, if you'll have me. [and Grace. We work best as a team, she's my partner-in-crime (or in this case, justice) and you should really consider her as well.] I think we'd both make a great addition to the staff, as well as make your current work load a lot lighter.
