Is how long I've been here. Exactly one year ago today, my friend (Fuzzyplats) FaceTime'd me and said:

But I've been playing since September. I never had a use for the forums cause I was mistakenly promoted to member. In January I made a town, so I needed a warp. So I went on the forums. And sir, that's why it says that.

But to really be part of the community, he's saying you should be communicating on the forums as well.

Once you are on the forums, it gives you a chance to share more complex ideas, plans, and thoughts. This allows people to give you feedback/bounce back ideas. Also, you really connect w/ the community when you do so.

Also, for 99.9% of the server, they join the forums when they sign up for member, which is IMHO when you 'become a part of Oasis'. Also, it's the only actual join date that's easily accessable.
