Hey,

Today I got bored, and decided to teach you lot how to count cards. The game that we will be targeting is Black Jack. If you dont know how to play, use google. Right, let's go.

Requirements:
1. Basic Maths skills (Dont get worries yet!)
2. Good with cards
3. Patience

How to do it:
We will be splitting a normal 52-card-deck (Without Jokers) into three groups; 2-6 are given the entity of +1. 7-9 are given the entity of 0. 10-Ace are given the entity of -1. This system is called the Hi-Low system.

When the cards a delt on the table, you will be required to calculate the total on the table. For instance:

PLAYER 1 PLAYER 2 DEALER
Ace + 7 10 + 3 3 + N/A

The current total is 0. Ace + 10 (both -1 cards) make -2. Two 3's make +2. The total, therefore, is 0.

So, every time a new card is revealed, the total of all the entities is calculated. Start at 0 at the beggining of a new deck (or 'shoe'); each deck always finishes on a 0.

How to win the game:

If you get to a total of -3, -4, -5, then you have the chance to get a 5-card trick (Use google, again). This is possibly the most valuable hand you can have. You must start on a low hand.

If you get to a total of +3, +4, +5, then you are DEFINATELY going to get a high hand soon (so will the dealer, beware!).

So yeah. Thats how to count cards in Black Jack.

Hope this helps. Oh, and one more thing: Counting Cards is not illegal, although if you are caught, you WILL lose ALL your money!
