What we want (Jamziboy's nordic whaling house in default texturepack on very hilly terrain):
building on nonflat terrain 2012-055

This is a brief walkthrough.
1. Build a house as you would on flat terrain. (It's ok if it looks like it's about to fall off of a cliff. We'll add on.)
2. Add reinforcements and supports. ex. a vertically patterned wall with supports sticking out (logs)
3. add balconies and house floors to the reinforced walls to keep it from just being a tall and boring structure that basically just exists.

I realized one day that there were a lot of great builders out there who complained about not being able to build on hilly terrain, or how they can only build on flat ground, so I taught myself how to do so. I hope this made at least some sense to you all. I'm not great at explaining some things, so if you want to and understand what I'm saying, you could explain what I'm trying to put out here a bit better. c:
