Stop Kony 2012
I will not say you have to do this, or even that you should. I'm just throwin this out there because in my opinion, this is one of the greatest things an ordinary person can do. So if you dont want to do this, or dont think its worth your time, at least let others TRI(watch the video to find out) to do good.

I think the video you should be watching is this one.
Your tweets won't #Stop Kony
Btw that video is not mine and that is the title of the video.

Re: Stop Kony 2012
I like how you watch a 30 minute video and now suddenly you're an activist.
Please do go on and tell me in detail how you've always cared for the children of a poor African country.
This man hasn't been in power for 6 years, and who are we to tell him how to run his government?
I don't agree with using children as soldiers, but I'm not going to tell other countries not to, It's not our place.
Oh and that "non-profit" organization you're supporting:
-Run by a man with a $90K salary.
-Only donates 30% of all donations to the "cause"
-A lot of that 30% goes to "work related" cost; aka Flying back and forth to Africa and back to make more youtube videos.
Please, mick, do research before supporting or donating to any cause, not just this one.

Tweeting does in a way help because it spreads the word and makes people aware of this issue (only if people actaully keep on caring and its not just a trend for them)
Also it is unknown even if Kony is alive or where he is.
As far as the man who runs this "Non-profit" organization I wouldn't exactly donate to
Like Chaos said:

I'm 95% sure that there are many other trust worthy non-profit organizations to donate to where most if not all the money will go towards the direct cause

This. Just this.
By the way, remember how they said he's "The number one World's most wanted criminal"? Yeah, you might want to check your information about that. He's currently ranked number nine on that list. Just thought you might want to know.

Re: Stop Kony 2012
Ok, first off i did write a fair amount of this topic, but then deleted it.
So i'll write something quite short.
As the "people" we can't do anything.... why;
Only those in power can and although they will see what people are talking about the won't do anything about it, because.... Well there is more then one view point, so which one do they follow? as they will end up making some people happy and some people angry (like it is with ANY case regarding pretty much ANYTHING).
If they do go in and take Kony out, then someone else will take his place. As this isn't the first time Africa has had someone like this, in fact there has pretty much always been someone like this.
Those in power won't do anything, not because they are idiots or don't care, but because the impact it will have will go beyond just sorting out the problem, the world isn't just going to say "Good job"... some will... others will see it as intervening... Once again, like pretty much EVERYTHING.
You can make your voice heard, sure, and maybe it makes you feel like you done your part... if so great...
IF there was only 1 view point and nearly every country/person agreed.. then fair enough, perhaps something will be done, but as this will never be the case. There will always be as many people angered as there were people made happy.
Either way in short, If it makes you feel happy and good about yourself by tweeting and spreading the word, good.

I have left this alone
but few things people might like to know
1. Invisible children only gives 31% of the money to help
2. By help they mean support the military dictator of Uganda who has been accused of war crimes just like kony
3. Kony has not been active in uganda since 2006
4. Kony is belived to be dead or dying in the congo
5. His forces are estimated to number closer to 250
6. He is not a major player in the region anymore
7. invisible children does not allow an external agency to audit its finaces which is rather shady on its own.
8.there is oil in Ugandan that the USA Iran(iraq) and china would like to help them with.
people who support the kony2012 movement either already know this or just decided it was a good thing to get behind after a 5 minute clip. (im not sure if its iran or iraq because i do not think it is important enough to check; however i would not mind debating any1 who would like to refute my claims after all i am not a credible source onto myself so i might be lying or attempting to deceive because sometimes people do that)

This should bring the discussion to an end. If it doesn't, you have no sense of humour :P
Just kidding, keep discussing. My opinion is purely neutral.

I love this, lol. They've known about Kony for "years," yet they wait until the 2012 presidential season to bring awareness about Obama's and InvisibleChildren's actions.

Leagle,
Im sure you know this, but just so I can be sure...
The money is to save thousands of people's lives and redeem their right to live at peace.
Personally, 'lol' is completely the WRONG thing to say.
