Requesting STAFF HELP

I know this isn't really off-topic but the server is under attack! Spawn is getting the shit greifed out of it and lcf and I are trying our best to repair everything but we can't do it without staff help!

I'm in teamspeak if you need me but just log in and give us a hand.

I think the spawn protection plugin is is outdated, i repaired the ALL the spawn 10 minutes ago and now it's shitstormed with griefs again.

Yeah this is getting out of hand.

The saddest part of things like this is that now there are actually clientside mods out there designed to make griefing easier. I hate how people like griefers honestly just never give a shit anymore.

The griefer mindset can't see the player reaction on the other side, that applies to hackers and stuff.

Dont worry, i can't get on for another five hours but we do have LB so i'll just roll it all back and issue a shit load of bans.

Well, we can LB and ban, but think about it- It's just going to keep happening.
If you really want to make it stop, then I suggest that the Whitelist gets brought back up.
I'm not sure if there's a reason the whitelist has been removed,but until the spawn protection
Pluggin gets updated again, this just will keep occuring and reoccuring.

If not, then another idea is getting a jail pluggin..
/togglejail [player] is another option that should be given to staff players.

I think we should limit new players, when a new member joins, we give them options, Go out And Build and be a cool person. But Only 50% of new members do that, the other just go around and grief without limitations given. I'm not saying put whitelist back up, just to give limitations to new players.

*Also, if when the person is greifing people are yelling stuff like "STOP IT", "OMG OMG STOP GREIFING" - you know the general stuff people say, then this will make them continue more so, if it was just..

"hmmm XXXXX is a griefer, oh well" - then they are less likly to as you appear like you don't care, won't work on all griefers, but for some, it will.

As all they really want to do is annoy people, if you don't take the bait, then they won't get there thrill and so will move on else where.

Think about it like this, you have a friend who says something annoys him, chances are your gonna do that thing that annoys him for a little while....

Griefers are going to be there. It's just like anything in the world.

And no, we're not going to put a whitelist up. We've always been one of the few servers that is actually good that doesn't have a whitelist. We don't need a whitelist. All we need is a staff and rollback tools, both of which we have.

Yes, there will be times when no staff are on and griefs happen. But the staff is about to be expanded, as it always is every month, and hopefully that will reduce the amount of staff-less time that the server goes through.

What about giving /kick or /tempban to Veterans and Architects? They sure proven to be trusted and also are always trying to catch griefers.

Well, another way would be to remove stone kit. It would definitely reduce spawn griefs, really who wants to grief with bare hands.

most the griefers who grief don't do /kit stonekit - they go out and make/steal the items.....
