Armored Skeletons!!!

So I just logged in like usual, and went down into my mine and I find this!

It's on the head. Or rather, it's supposed to be.
I found out via creative singleplayer my texture pack (sphaxbdcraft) had the 'random mobs' feature selected. So it's not actual armor. It's just an alteration of the skin. I've never seen it before. Huge bummer when I realized this.
