What I hate about Vanilla

These are some common problems I see in vanilla.

1. Griefing
There is so much griefing it is RIDICULOUS.
2. Thievery
Pretty self explanatory. People steal.
3. Creepers
So many have come and blown up my house... Even when I am in it. They stink.
4. Lack of common bukkit commands
I just miss my /kit commands, it gets annoying when you have to everything from scratch (repeatedly in some cases thanks to griefers/thieves).
5. The Classic, "Whats yours is mine and whats mine is mine." attitude.
No offense to some people (*cough* mostly lazy guests *cough*) but they just come in and say "I'm living here" and take residence in your house without even asking you. Someone even tried to claim my house while I was in it (by destroying the sign with my name on it).

It sucks...

I gave up building on the surface. I made a cave. A very large cave system.

I heard the following over the last few days:
"Somebody griefed my NPC village!"
- It's an N-P-C Village. IT's not yours.

"This is my cave. Please leave."

Exactly, the NPC villages belong to NOBODY! they spawn already built. Most of them are already griefed to hell, but such is vanilla map. Good thing is the new perm map will be up soon, and all the griefers & banned players will go away.

Yeah, this is all annoying, a few tips though:

- As always build away from spawn (i don't mean 100 blocks i mean more 1000+)
- Hide your chests, in walls and what not - makes it that little bit harder.
- Creepers, well some hate them some don't, with this build a moat (doesn't have to be big just 2 by 2, though a 1 by 1 would be enough).
- /kit - just play legit...
- yeah, but this will always be an issue, there are always gonna be people who think like this (both IG and RL).

I'd say ''Stop stressing yourself with a game, or just wait for the full release'' but do what you want.

Because my house got griefed, again... And I found a hidden chest in my house that was not mine... I have decided to stop playing until bukkit updates. I feel like a big majority of banned players are coming back to wreak havoc on the server, or there are just a lot of new people who suck. So good luck on the temp map guys. Cya when the updates come.

That's pretty much what I do on all temp maps.

What I hate about it:

No ranks, shit's deleted in a week, kind of boring.

Tons of players on the vanilla map are convicted griefers. Some have said that they don't grief anymore, but they lie, and they're stupid enough to talk about it openly in chat. A few have brought their dumb little buddies with them, and even recruited in-game.

They will not follow us to the new map, thankfully. The new ones who do show up, well... they will learn about consequences in a most amusing way.

Pro tip: Go nomadic kill any passives for meat, collect seeds from tall grass, find somewhere uninhabited, live there, and don't die, stealing from chests and griefing are 99% unlikely.

Don't forget all forms of farming can be done underground
From wheat,sugercain, and even trees "white logs trees reccomended"
Tree farming under ground requires 5 spaces around and 7 or 8 high

Remember. The torchs you use to find your home also helps griefers as well

Again, I hate lazy griefing thieves, prime example number 1. I logged in and found my home claimed by someone else named coolmankyle:
