There is no reason to grief.

You may find yourself in someone house (if they have built underground), but there are nearly always warning signs/objects, before this happens. If the house was on the ground, then there is no reason why it should be done. If you want to have a look around wait for that person to come online and ask them.

I know you haven't been here long Imnotafraid26, but you should know this isn't a griefing server. If you say you didn't know, means you didn't read the rules (there are only a few).
