Piston Base (DIfferent)

Hey guys,

So everybody knows about hidden bases with pistons, however on my singleplayer map I came up with a rather good idea...

Basically instead of having a switch in open view, you the player, have to place a lever and pull it. Underneath that block is a redstone current and the pistons retract. Now, that piston will be left there so.... Place another piston facing the lever and cover it with a piece of dirt... When you enter your base, you push a button and it triggers the piston. That piston pushes the the lever outside of your base and 'knocks' it out, thus hiding the piston and leaving newcomers unaware of where your base is... And of course, now that that lever is gone, your base once again becomes hidden... :D

Maybe somebody has already done this, i'm not sure but yeah, I thought I would share that :)

Oh really, did it destroy the lever??

I have made several including one on the map we are on mow that have a hidden stone pressure plate that activates a piston for a secret door. I find this simpler than your way but your's is by far more concealed.

Oh okay, yours sounds easier though, especially if ease of use is a priority...??

you could also do one which requires a redstone tourch, then knock it out with water (use of pistons or a trap door).

would have a similar affect :P

Oh yeah, That is a good idea... And that way wouldn't leave a lever poking around :)
