I Was Robbed

I came into my house after a one or two day absence and checked my food chest because I only had half a heart left. There was nothing in there so I went down to my storage room to check if anything was in any of the chests down there. All of my stuff from all of my chests had been stolen except for the stuff in the "Weapons and Tools" chest, but everything in there is so beaten up that I can't imagine why anyone would want it. All of the coal from all of my ovens/stoves/Whatever-you-call-'em was also gone. I know for a fact that all of the chests were locked with /cprivate.
Is this just some kind of glitch or was my stuff stolen? If so, can I get it back somehow? I know that the rules say that it's "a tricky thing" but is it possible?

Alot of people have been having this problem. It is a result of our new anti-xray plugin, which while it does do a very good job of making x-ray useless, has been known to delete peoples chests and clear signs. I suggest you talk to ariley, saint, or one of the admins to see if you can get your stuff back.

I have to ask. Is it really worth people losing all of their items just so cheaters can't see diamonds underground? Just saying. Seems like an unfair trade-off to me.

No, I don't think it is. We didn't know that this would happen when we installed the plugin, and nobody has really brought up possibly getting rid of it.

It seems to be a select few who this has happened to, would be good to see their locations, just to see if it is a proximity thing.

would also be good to see if any of those people who have lost stuff also have the x-ray mod....

It happened ALOT in the grassland area. Thankfully my 17 chests are safe... for now...

do you guys /cprivate or /cpassword your chests?

/cprivate, or /lwc -c private everything!
