GRIEF ALERT

asome96 found a grief and i took a couple screen shots here they are.

There's been a ton of griefs this last week... ermm what's changed?

The fucking WHITELIST is down. We need our buddy, the whitelist back.

No coldplaya, we really don't at the moment.

Thought it was down, must have been taken off while i was away.

I am sure it has been taken off for a reason, sides, most whitelist applications get accepted...so really it was just an open sever, but with the added annoyance of having to add people to it.

I have no clue why the whitelist was an annoying spam on the server, but although mostly everyone was acceptedI think that it kept most griefers out because it's annoying sometimes to always apply for the whitelist.

While a whitelist helps to keep griefers away it also keeps a ton of non griefers from joining too. People like servers without whitelists

It may help, but it doesn't stop it, though i don't think anything can..

Not having a whitelist increases player base, but also lets players know quicker, who the griefers are, so they get banned quicker... Also don't build near spawn as this greatly increases your chances of being griefed... building underground is usful, but unless it's obviously there pepole may accidently dig into some walls (assuming you've built with stone/cobble/mossycobble/dirt/gravel/sand/sandstone) as all these do exsist naturally underground.

so ideal place is miles from spawn, then if you do get griefed chances are it's from a player close to you, or your just unlucky.

If we want new players, Re-Brand the server. Give it a facelift. We could put the white-list back if we did that.
