Opinion about Maps

Tell me your opinion abouts the new maps.

In my opinion they're worthless to me and I feel they're overrated

I think they're more usefull on singleplayer (I don't have sethome). But they're fun and cool to mess with on multiplayer.

if they take away the Coord's when you press F3 they would be usful, also as mentioned above, just fun to mess around with.

How are they overrated? Let alone useless?

There are a few bugs in them now, but when everything gets flattened out, it will be a great tool. In the future, wherever you craft it will be in the center of the map, and each map you make will be different. It will be extremely useful for looking and recognizing all of the land features around your house. Also, you'll be able to give them out to guests of your house to show them the land features around your house, and then they can give it back to you.

You can also put colored wool landmarks down, then easily recognize certain places on the map.

@saeTan They're useless in SMP but in SSP they aren't. Sorry for the confusion

Hopfully this will soon be fixed :)

I think mobs and other players should appear too :D
