I am desperate so I am offering a reward for the solution of this statistics problem
"A disease has an incidence rate of 4 per 1000 in the general population. The false negative rate of a test for this disease is 6% and the false positive rate is 2%. If a person receives a positive test result, what is the probability the person actually suffers from the disease? (Round your answer to four decimal places.)"
Answers must be in the form the question asks (Round your answer to four decimal places.)

As a graduate student who works with complicated calculus everyday I am going to feel embarrassed if I get this wrong...also keep in mind I haven't done statistics in 4 or 5 years...but I got .00024 as the probability! Hope it helps

Man you know when you are desperate when you are offering money to do your Stats work. I guess my powerpoint lectures didn't help.

Ha :P I never took stats and everyone was like you are so lucky and I see why now :P don't get me wrong, calculus is no walk in the park but still :P Also, I am an architect irl and I haven't done anyyy kinda of math past geometry since...senior year in high school :P get those classes done early so you have more time in college to.....study!
