Questions for New map

Hey ariley i just wonderen are we really startin a new map ? And if we are is there anyway to get my castle on the new map?

I don;t believe we are getting a new map anytime soon, but if we are, the schematic of your castle can be saved by a staff member if they feel it is cool enough.

As it stands now - we're not entirely sure how the new map is going to work as there've been several idea's thrown out there. A lot of people have asked - can I have my building moved to the new map.

Well if you see it from our standpoint - we do it for one person we're inclined by standards to do it for everyone with. We have a lot of members who've built a lot of things and some with multiple homes. Thats a lot of moving stuff vs. a clean start.

We may or may not be implementing a infrastructure for the new map with some wilderness places of course but a more structured settlement for inner buildings. Again this isn't set in stone its only tentative.

But I hope you understand and I hope everyone understands that it is and will most likely be unlikely that any buildings will be moved to the new map.

so is there any staff member that will keep my castle?

After discussions today, it doesn't look like staff will be saving people's work. This goes along with the idea of "starting fresh". I have to agree with Okowi when he says that if we do it for one person, we have to do it for everyone that asks and that is not what we want with this transition. However, it does look like you may have a chance to atleast save some of your items and your money in the transition.

The map should at least be available for download.

Is there a date or time frame we can expect, I know you guys aren't totally sure when it exactly is coming. But is it going to more like a couple weeks or or a couple months?

maybe by mid-week? Next week at latest I think.

Not a couple months. At the moment, we think spawn is done. But we can't continue without Ariley. He's been real busy lately and hasn't had a chance to get on to approve it, make final adjustments, and move everyone over. If he approves it, my guess is what dtfgator said, sometime mid week. If he doesn't (which I think he will because its epic ) it may be another 2 weeks. I know its tough. I remember waiting for the map you guys are playing on now and everyone was bored to tears, but it'll be way worth the wait.

Here is a hint: The new spawn is made of just about every building material possible.

did you guys go with the City idea at all?

i really dont remember waiting for the current map. I really didnt know what was going on but i hope the new map is out soon.

It will be good to get a new map, I keep bumping into far out random half finished buildings... which is fair enough if people are still working on them, but judging by some of the names i don't think they come on this server anymore..

Still working on my house, i know it will get deleted, but need to do something until then.

As for questions on the new server.. don't really have any (it's too early days at the moment). need to think about what i wanna build. :D

but there is a protected area, but it is damn Big!.
i was trying to mark it but some people use them as a walk way and destroy it.

I know that feel bro. I had a great city, the now forgotten metropolis of Utopia-ville. Then we got a new map and a new community. RAAAAGE!
