Skyblock

May I suggest having a skyblock on Oasis? I personally love skyblock, and I love Oasis. So what can be better than combining the two!

This idea has been brought up multiple times in the past. I don't think this would happen, although you never know. If you want to, you can make your own island, or have someone help you make it, and put some very basic supplies up there on it, and play like that without coming down maybe. Just an idea.  

^ I agree there is not necessary to use plugins for this. You can easily get the needed resources and build the island with little work. Also you can use the sethome and home commands to get to and from your island.

Skyblock intrigued me, so I tried it a bit last map. Messed up quite a few times xD
Kind of weird to do in smp, not the same feel you get from going on an actual skyblock server.

Imo, I'd like to see a skyblock world for Oasis as a warp; A world devoid of resources, with little islands floating over the void. Maybe some plugins specific to skyblock that most skyblock servers have.

It would take planning though. With people still working on /random and other things, I don't think adding worlds is top priority at the moment. It will probably just continue to be brought up until the time is right for it to be considered.

I think someone had an actual warp for an SMP version of skyblock at somepoint, but it was a while ago if it existed... I wasn't very active at that time, so I don't know all of what it had. I believe there might be an old warp app lying around with screenshots, I'll see if I can find it. Could probably set up something in the SMP world.

I'd be down for making sky block. We could do a survival one and a PVP one where 3-4 people each get a block setup and the last one standing wins. If people want it, I'll make it in the owner games world

Alrighty then if the mods are game with adding worlds/plugins for this then it's meant to be. It will also be nice to have some more pvp games in the Owner Games.

Maybe this was a good time to strike up the conversation of skyblock, eh?

Looks like a good mod project, tbh. Make a warp for it in SMP and you could assign make a sort of island above the islands that leads you to them, each have a "staircase" to the player/players  using the island, and you have a game! In a perfect world, no plugins needed. Rather than have a seperate world/inventory for it, leave it to the players discretion, its their own little island. Maybe something for the 1.8 update?
