Maps and Texture Packs

How do I install these because it seems every time I try to install one, my computer gets a virus! Plz help  :triforce: <--- Zelda Fan

Well i done download texture packs because i like minecraft original, but just go oasis's map downloads and downlod the map. I dont know what to do for the texture packs, sorry

Just look up a tutorial for your respective operating system and mc version.

If you find a good texture pack, post it please!

First off, use good sites. Planetminecraft and the minecraftforums are generally good for this- minecraftdl is absolutely awful. Second, make sure you're actually clicking the right download. Seriously, this is probably the most important (and easiest) step in avoiding viruses. Nine times out of ten, viruses come from a wrong click. Here is where viruses reside. That's why I hate minecraftdl.

Also, if you're looking for a good resource pack, use Conquest. It's really good.
