Update on my wife, and a special event!
Well here is whats going on with my wife....
She is still in the hospital because her blood work is not comming out right. Her white blood cell count is dangerously low. They are giving her daily shots of Neulasta
http://www.neulasta.com/starting-chemo-with-neulasta/white-blood-cell-counts.html?src=ppc&WT.srch=1&SRC=2
to boost her white blood cell count. She has to stay in the hospital until it gets better. So no idea how long that is gonna take, couple days to a couple weeks. No telling. The bad thing about that drug is the side effect of BONE PAIN. You literally feel like you have arthritis through out your entire body.

Ok so this is it. She's not getting out of the hospital till her white blood cell count gets higher. How ever long that takes!
For those that didnt know. My wife has breast cancer. Fount a lump on fathers day, and 2 weeks later its cancer. She started chemo on the 6th of this month. She got sick on the 13th. When your on chemo, the chemo destroys your immune system. So even the common cold and kill ya. She has been in the hospital since tuesday and dont know when she is getting out.
I have been keeping my wife updated about the support the community here is giving us. And since some of ya'll know my wife and have met her on TS, I want to rally A REALLY BIG "HI LEE!" on the TS server, this Saturday at 2pm. I get off from work on saturdays normally around 1pm.
HERE IS WHAT I WANT TO DO. I want to get all the players i can on TS in a private room (any will do) and when you guys see me get in, I want a staff member to start a count down in TS. And every one say "HI LEE" at one time on the TS server. That would make her happy to hear all the support our community is giving her. No need to sign up or any thing. Just be on the TS server BEFORE 2PM, and if you cant get in the room, pm a staff member to move you into the room.

For those wondering it's currently 8pm for Pax, so take 6 hours of the time of his post to figure out when it's 2pm.

I give my support!
I'm sorry to hear about that Pax, I would also like to be a part of the Saturday greeting to your wife, even though I don't know her. I had heard that your wife was sick in the hospital but I didn't know the details of the situation.
My mother had breast cancer, and lost her battle against it in May of 2011. It was a very aggressive cancer that was discovered in the later stages and eventually spread to her brain. I was her caregiver and lived with her during the last few years of her life, so I know exactly what you are going through. I remember when my mom had to get repeated shots to boost her white cell count, just like you are describing with your wife. It's apparently pretty common to have a low white count, depending on the chemo med (some don't effect it as much as others, but it depends on the person too). I hope the chemo is successful in eliminating her cancer, and I wish her good health during her chemo treatments. Your wife will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I wish I had a headset to support you, but at 2pm I'll think about you, your wife enjoying your time together. There are challenges in life, some that test us to our very limit, but God never lets us go.

I will try my best to be there. I will also try to get GeekyGirl36 (if she doesn't have to work) and GeekyMan36 on as well, specially since we all live together. On another note I wish your wife a speedy recovery and you some peace. I can understand how much stress this can bring upon both of you. I also understand what your wife is going through with the BONE PAIN. I have chronic pain that feels like hot pokers constantly in my bones and gives the feeling if arthritis through out my body. But this is not about me, we at home here are thinking of you and your wife, so hang in there and think positive.

Re: Update on my wife, and a special event!
Thanks for the support. I have some great news....
There is a change of plans.....
The message isnt going to be "HI LEE" any more....
The message is going to be "WELCOME HOME LEE!"
For those of you that dont get the change, she was released this morning. Her white blood cell count is a lot higher now. So they sent her home. We were not expecting such a fast recovery, even the hospital wasnt either. They had it set in their minds she would be there the entire weekend if not a couple more days. So we planned on that our selves.
So this doesnt change any thing. Just makes it easier as we will be home instead of in the hospital. And I can use my ipad instead of my phone.

Re: Update on my wife, and a special event!
Sorry i missed it i was away at camp otherwise i would have been there. My mom had breast cancer so i know what it's like although my mom overcame it after months of radiation and chemo i still know how hard it is. I also lost my grandma to cancer earlier this year. My thoughts go out to you and your family.
