[Server] Unexpected down time!

Once again, server is down for no seeming apparent reason. I have no idea when the server will be back up and have a stable connection. I've contacted our host and informed them of our situation. We should be back up within the hour or so.

*goes back on maplestory* eww the GUI is all different, the level cap was raised to 250, there's no damage cap so people are hitting 50mil dmg now, and it's still overrun with rich 12's and their parents' credit cards.

Guise... I think I might have messed up.
and this is how it happened.

I've been building this really awesome skeleton farm, right?
well it keeps messing up and not spawning the skeletons.
so I keep tweaking it.
it still has issues, so I changed it up and went for a smoke break.
during my smoke break my pizza came 20 minutes early.
so I ate my pizza.
about halfway through said pizza im pretty full.
and my mom gets home.
she needs me to take the dog on a walk, so I do.

So I'm walking my dog and I remember: I never logged out of oasis.
walking the dog turns into running the dog and I make it back here.

normally after inactivity the server will boot a player.
so I'm like whatevs.

try to log in.
server down.

sweet! apparently madsci is getting us a SSD upgrade from a hard disk drive. That should speed up chunk loading all over the place.

thinks about it for a minute. 
I may not have been disconnected for inactivity.
I might have been disconnected from the server switch.
which means that I am probably standing beside like 300 skeletons right now.

EDIT: didnt cause any lag cuz when I got on I was one of two people. and I killed em all and got from lvl 25-37. so good deal :D

I know something right now we can do! 

Quick status report. The connection issues seem to be fixed. We have the SSD installed and ready to go. I'm in the process of moving the bukkit server from the HDD to the SSD. Teamspeak is back up, and Minecraft should be back up by 1:00am at the latest.

HDD stands for Hard Disk Drive. It's the part of your computer that contains all your data. An SSD is a Solid-State Drive. It's very similar to a hard drive, except that its more like a USB flash drive, meaning it has no moving parts and is very fast with accessing data. However SSDs are more expensive than a regular hard drive but the speed is worth the extra money.

 SSD = solid state drive (the thing in ur iphone)
 HDD = hard disk drive (the thing in ur computer)

they are both ways to store data over a long time.

its kinda like a CD vs a USB.
