Things that make you go Hmmmm

Hello everyone thought of a word game today wanted to try it out so here it goes.

Things that make you go hmmmmm. Anything that you come across in life that makes you wonder what the???

Ok the first one is like this: Why do they call them Hotdogs, a. there is no dog in them at all and b. they are cold as heck when you buy them from the store. See I know alot of you are now going hmmmmmm. See how it works.

How about the argument that nothing is actually, in itself, something.

In Europe they call it Football because the team kicks a ball around on the field.
In America they call it Football because...

hmmmmmm...

If you own land, how far down does your ownership go? To the center of the Earth?

If mars has an earthquake.. Is it called a marsquake?

How can your feet smell if they don't have noses?

Earthquakes are caused by plate tectonics, which mars lacks. So there are no earthquakes on Mars, and thus no 'Marsquakes'.

This explains it pretty well. Basically, you can own both, but both are not sold to you at the same time. For arguments sake, let's say we could drill to the center of the earth. If you had mineral rights, the technical answer is yes. This map shows you that anywhere in the continental US would end up in the Indian Ocean if they tunneled through. Since that's 'international waters', and nobody owns the seafloor of international waters, you technically can own all the land under you property.

So, I philosophize sometimes. I was thinking out people who commit suicide and their reasons and I came up with 4 types of people when related to suicidal thoughts, feel free to comment and debate about some of my thoughts on the matter.

1. Someone strong enough not to do it:
Their will is too strong to end it all.

2. Someone weak enough to do it:
Their will is too weak to go on

3. Someone weak enough not to do it:
They're too scared to carry through with it.

4. Someone strong enough to do it:
They have found the strength to end it all.

I've only had limited experience with suicides (thank God for that), but I think it's what happens when people think themselves to death. They start stressing and over think things, to the point where everything leads back to the same conclusion. Since everything you do will lead to one outcome, there's no point in doing it. Since there's no point in doing it, there's no point in trying in anything, and they pick suicide over infinite repetitions. Infinite is a scary thing.
