This is my current sp build. I plan on making a town and the landscape for it. Though I would love some opinions on it current status and what to put behind the windows for the second floor(false floor) so the ceiling for the first floor(usable floor) isn't showing throw the windows.

Great build mate;). Would love to see more if you are making the extra town.

lots of practice, and test and elimination. This is actually the 3rd design I tried with this Library and by far my favorite of them.

not sure if I'm in love with the full stonebrick courtyard, but I may add some little designs and other colors to it.

Add some water to the courtyard. Water can soften up a harsh landscape and add architectural detail.

Like in front of Buckingham Palace there is a monument/fountain thing. Could be cool.

I'm more of a guy that goes with the flow, but sometime I plan a part of it. Though most of the time I just go where it takes me.

How much of blocks did you put? Lol, anyway, nice build and NICE DESIGN!

Update: I started on a City Hall







What do you think, not sure if this will be a usable building or just for looks. I may just make a lobby for it.

P.S. thinking of turning this into a Zombie Apocalypse like thing. Thoughts on that idea.

What do you guys think of it? I still have landscaping to do and add a few paths on the sides where office buildings are planned to be put in.

That's a great detail, the deck space thing. Add something like a tree there.

Well this has gone down the drain. The library and the city hall turned out good and I'm happy with those, but I've tried and tried for a new layout and a new building but none of it is work so I'm just scraping the current city and restart it. I'll put the library on Oasis and build around it or give it someone to build around it. This has turned into a classic Reynolds build starts off good and just nose dives into pudding. Thanks guys for the feed back, look forward to any other build that pop up on this tread.

yeah i mostly use my hand but for large fills I use WE

I've started the new world. Finishing up a valley and a bridge, but can't decide on whether to go with nether brick roof or a wooden roof also if anyone knows a good cone design I could put on the towers that would be much appreciated.

Nether Brick

Definitely wood. Nether brick is darker, and so it looks heavier and draws you're eye away from the main build. Wood compliments the stone brick nicely, as well.

Also, look up MinecraftMadness64's lighthouse for a nice roof design.
