Hey everyone. I just might be the oldest guy on this server, but you can say im young at heart. I'm 28, from the Chicago area, and I'm a professional engineer. Let me know if you need any help on redstone too!

I'm a Mechanical Engineer. I do tool and die design. I'm also a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. 100 points if you know what that is, haha.

Thanks for the compliments guys but I probably wont be on the server anymore. Even though madscientist acted within the rules of the server it just really pisses me off that I get kicked for 1 hour when someone else griefs MY creations. Code_red_12 has gotten caught griefing parts of ptown now about 5 times and every single mod and admin lets him go with a warning. The moment I get sick of it and retaliate on his house they come down on me and f*ucking temp kick me. It's bullshit and I'd rather find another place to play. Bye.

I'm with Shatang here. Haven't really talked to you but you seem like a nice guy, you own a town and stuff, have awesome creations, and a good player.

You were griefed and were mad about it. Understandable. But then you go and grief someone else's house, just because they hit first? There is no logic in there. In game, I compared you're maturity level to my 5 yr old cousins. I was wrong. My cousin is MUCH more mature then you. She knows that it is wrong to hit, no matter what.

If it makes you feel any better, you have a one week temporary ban to cool off. I'm sorry this had to happen. You were really good with redstone and stuff.

With that logic you would break into someones house, just because they broke into yours? An eye for an eye makes the whole world go blind. I'm not saying do nothing. I'm saying what you did was extremist and wrong.

Tbh, as staff, this is exactly what the rules say we have to do. Instead of being a nuisence, you could have just told someone else that he griefed you. Griefing is not and will never be a valuable solution to any problem. To be honest, i'd have done the same thing as Madsci, and I know that a lot of staff wouldn't have been as forgiving.

Apparently none of you are listening still. All the mods and admins need to pay attention.

1) Several weeks ago code_red_12 and winterstar griefed parts of PTown including casino and put random chests in the middle of open lots. I reported him to commander_chair at that point I believe and all commander did was give him a verbal warning and didnt make him move his chests. I had to deal with building my vault AROUND his chests for about 6 days until code finally moved them.

2) Over the following weeks there were 2-3 more instances where mods and admins like tlsorrel and others warned him, but never kicked him or banned him. At the very least I wanted him out of PTown but commander requested that I give him a plot.

3) Yesterday code_red_12 griefed my vault by breaking down a steel door, and getting in. Then he griefed my redstone system for the vault.

4) I asked madscientist to do something and he didnt come to the grief. Kingnothing also had no reaction to the grief. I made several attempts for them to acknowledge his grief and they didnt want to do anything about it.

5) I reacted by griefing 3 blocks off the side of code_red_12's house (which I didnt give him permission to build in ptown, which I'm allowed to do according to your rules) and INSTANTLY kingnothing showed up.

6) Kingnothing finally agreed to inspect the grief from code_red_12 and admitted that he did in fact grief my stuff but decided not to do anything about it.

7) About 5 minutes later madscientist catches wind of what happens and FREAKS OUT. He gets extremely upset (even though kingnothing already handled the issue) and decides to kick me for an hour.

8) Of course I'm absolutely furious that I get punished for something that code_red_12 did (whos been warned at least 5 times and never once kicked). I get back in after an hour and want madscientist to apologize. He gives no apology and bans me for a week instead.

Perhaps you all need to understand what the hell actually happened before passing judgement.

I didnt say the server was being run by people who arent old enough. I said it was being run by children.

I can forgive a griefer, even a liar. But when someone insults staff members, especially Madsci and Kingnothing, who are among my favorites, That crosses the line. You say the staff are children. You are acting like a toddler and have no room to talk. I have lost all respect for you.

This thread is mega off topic. You guys can argue this elsewhere if you wish, but if there is one more mention of ' no it was your fault' , or an insult from anybody, i wil lock this thread.

Who knows, maybe it's too late to say this and we won't meet... Psie, you are really nice guy and you are one of these people who keep Oasis up, despite you are only Trusted. I want to say that it's really important sometimes to cheer yourself up. There's no reason for setting it all up behind you, dude. You like the server, we like you, we are your friends. No need in such an awful decision... Look, I can see my Oasis friends leaving 1 by 1: Mati, Taccy, Vamp, Croky, you... I see Maarten and c0da rarely... Man, don't do this. As one of the oldest guys here you need to judge as an adult. Hold on a bit.
