yes... my graphics card took a shit and i wont be able to play minecraft untill i get a new one. just letting you guys know so you dont think i just up and bailed.

It's not as if minecraft actually uses your graphics card that much... For some dumb reason it runs mostly off of your CPU.

What are you buying to replace it?

Get a 680, OC to >1 ghz.

Friend has SLI 680's, after he won one at PAX

yeah, alot of online games run more of the CPU then the GPU.. it's so more people can play them.

I'm 90% positive that minecraft has been using the GPU since the 2010 halloween update, and that's only because my fps shot up around that time.

That's sucks that's what happened to me my internal fan broke and my graphics card melted the fan, itself, and a little of the surrounding area.

And guys if your having lag you should get a D-Link it helps me not get lag (the most expensive one works the best)
