i cant connect to minecraft no matter what i do! PLZ READ!

for the last 2 days i cant connect to minecraft i open it and it doesnt come up with the 1.1 stuff its just some gray thing with crap on it when i click login somtimes it says failed to connect to minecraft.net...BUT when i try to update it says FAILED
TO LAUNCH FATAL ERROR OCCURED (4): ADRESS FAMILY NOT SUPPORTED BY PROTOCAL FAMILY:CONNECT


and its really starting to piss me off ive updated java, reinstalled minecraft and i just get the same thing
