New computer.

Hell everyone, I am planning on getting a new computer soon, I don't know much about computers so I need your guys opinions, I'm looking for computer that can run minecraft really well (render distance on far, good fps etc) and a nice speedy computer with a good memory, I'm looking to spend around £400 (I'm from the uk) on this computer.

Would you want to build it yourself or buy it? - this will make a difference on the spec, though at £400, not a massive amount.

I was able to build a few different rigs around your price.
For your budget, I'd recommend an AMD processor, seeing as Intel can get a little pricey.

I have an HP laptop. . its like a 16" screen maybe an 18 I don remember and I'm to lazy to measure but I bought it about two years ago and it runs minecraft perfectly so long as your internet is good. . I'm from the USA so here this lappy is running somewhere around $250-300. . not a bad deal.Its windows 7 Equipped. Has a hard-drive space a little over 300GB.

Fulcan, that sounds like a nice machine! HP Is mehh when it comes to computers that can game. If you are looking into a laptop, consider looking at that website that dyna suggested, or go with an ASUS. Asus is probably my favorite brand, ever. lol. Asus ROG Series has some kickass lappies, and some desktops, but I'll need more info to help you more easily, ;)

Asus is very good in terms of both a computer manufacturer and parts manufacturer. I have an ASUS motherboard in my current build and it rock-solid. It also allowed me to overclock my system from 3.2Ghz to 4.0Ghz but you probably won't be doing overclocking with the stock CPU fan.

Also...AMD is the way to go if you want to save money.
