STRONGHOLD!?!?!?!

Why yes, it is!

If you don't know what these are, or haven't seen them:
They can spawn above or below ground. Pretty much anywhere.
They seem to be a prison/dungeon type area.
There are fountains, jail cells, libraries, etc.
The size is randomly generated, some rumors has them around 50x50 blocks!
As of right now, only ONE will spawn per map! This is set to be changed to 3.
Some even have rooms with potential for the "boss battles" Notch has been talking about.
Some say that the above ground ruins could have something to do with strongholds.








I was lost for about an hour or so before I found this thing.
As you can see by the pics, they are pretty glitchy.
Cave systems and ravines seem to break through them randomly, making exploration pretty difficult.

I found one, too! It was in the same cavern as the abandoned mine that I found! The only difference was that the stronghold was the thing that led INTO the giant abandoned mine full of cave spiders and Eldritch Abominations that Must Never Be Named...

i found one to!!!!!!!

So i was walking through the field one day, In the very merry month of. . . October? and by surprise I found a hole in the ground. . Tried to jump over it as I always do, my computer froze up for a split second and did not register that I hit the space button. That hole that I thought was only like 5 blocks beep was actually an abandoned mine and I fell about 80 blocks to my death on the bedrock. haha. . bad thing is. . Right as I hit the bedrock I found a stronghold. . It was sitting amongst bedrock with about 4 or five diamond blocks on the wall. . This stronghold had a torch by the door. . I had never seen one before however when I found it I was lost, then I was dead. . I have NO IDEA where it was at now. . so I guess ill find it again one day seeing as this was on SP mode. . lol. . just my luck haha
