The Annie Russell Theatre presents:

My first set for the Annie Russell Theatre in Spectra is that of Martin McDonagh's chilling black comedy, The Pillowman. The play tells the story of a writer in a totalitarian state who is interrogated by the police because his stories have inspired a series of child murders. Interspersed with the main narrative of the writer are the writer's stories themselves.

Oh Man, i love those things you do.

This sounds legit! When is it? Where is it? And How much is it????

if this does happen i most definly want to watch it or hear it! Awesome!

Another amazing set! Great job Taylor.

I have recently been informed that the map is changing at the end of August, allowing me the next six weeks to build new sets. And so, tonight and tomorrow I will be tearing down The Pillowman to make way for the next production: Rodgers and Hammerstein's South Pacific

Yeah all of the new terrain stuff that is being put in make our current map incompatible with 1.8

I realized partway through the South Pacific set that an onstage beach was going to be ridiculously difficult. So instead, here's Jane Shepard's one-act psychological drama, Nine (Not the musical.)
The play tells the story of two women chained to the walls of a basement, let out of their chains every now and then to be beaten and raped by their unseen captors. Where are they? What are their names? Who's keeping them there? Why are they there? How long have they been there? What year is this? We have the answers to none of these questions. As one of the women says, "If this place never heard my name, then I was never here." We watch as these two women fight not only to survive, but also to maintain their sanity.

Top of show: A moonbeam filters down to where the two women are sleeping, each chained to a post.

The women comfort and abuse each other alternately, latching on to wordgames and old proverbs to maintain a connection to the world outside. One of them stumbles in a proverb-off: "A stitch in time..." The other responds: "You lose. You don't know the rest of it."

As the first woman begs the second to tell her the end of the proverb, a light comes on at the top of the stairs, and someone begins to descend. The two grow desperate.

As the first half of the play draws to a close, the first woman pleads the second one to tell her. As a light comes on behind the door, the second woman promises to give the end of the proverb "When you get back."

For the rest of the plot, you'll have to either read it (easy) or see it (good luck finding a production).

Do you mean the theater? Or the show? Because if you mean the show, it's pretty much an emotional punch in the gut. If you mean the theater...I'm not sure whether I'm complimented or insulted.
