Stark's Intro

Hey all.

My MC life is only about a week long, so not much to say there. Basically, once John_Crichton gave me gear to defend myself with, I became his excavation/mining slave, but I love my work oh yes I do! So there's that.

In the outside world, I'm 50, living in Vermont, running the theater/dance program at a boarding high school. Pretty much out in the middle of nowhere, on a farm on a hill. Beautiful here, especially in Summer and Fall, but you better like long cold winters with epic amounts of snowfall. My wife and I have been married for three years now.

I really like making stuff, and have spent much of the past 10 or so years in Second Life doing that - and nothing else really. JC and I worked to get some quality RP going there for the first few years, but it often ended up fizzling because we found folks didn't want epic story arcs with character development. They really wanted to dress up and stand around. Freakin Posers.

As you might have gathered, I'm a gamer. Had the first D&D blue box when I was in High School. Mostly lately I stick to a Bulletin Board. Dreamlyrics is pretty amazing, if that's your sort of thing. IfI ever got into another FTF game, it'd be Amber or some other diceless format. If I'n in the mood for mindless hack-n-slash I pop into Guild Wars II - kind of over WoW. My first true online MMORPG love was Dark Age of Camelot, but it's gone so far downhill I won't go near it anymore.

It's pretty clear, from reading other folks' introductions, that I lucked out in finding such a great server my first time in. Looking forward to it.

finally :D glad to know you better, some things you wrote i had no idea what they mean, jc, d&d blue box etc LOL. :D
