New Teamspeak Rule
So I was on teamspeak just now, and I would like to make a comment (and hopefully get a new rule)
First off, I think soundboards are pretty awesome. It's cool having a bunch of pre-recorded clips like the clapping and some of the generic reaction sounds, but it's gotten out of hand recently. Playing back other peoples voices, playing the skype call theme (so annoying), and blasting too-loud music is all way too far. I suggest making a rule like this:
Teamspeak Rules:
A)No recording other people's voices. It's confusing and unnecessary. In addition, no recording the skype call theme.
B)No blasting music excessively loud.

As someone who doesnt use teamspeak, this sounds like standard manners. If it has to be a rule, then I guess I'll just VOUCH

It used to be pretty standard, that you don't do stuff like that. But apparently if you can use it you can abuse it, so it's better to have a rule for it. It's already pretty much enforced, since if anyone gets really annoying, staff kick them.

Yeah, Z's one of the prime offenders. Most of what he has on his soundboard is funny (if played at the right time), but recently he's been recording other people saying things and it's been getting out of hand.

I agree with Mick about this. I get on teamspeak to talk to my friends, not get barraged by random soundclips and recordings.

In my defense, I try not to excessively play soundboard clips for constant periods of time. I keep my soundboard at a low volume, and the only sound I ever play are mostly short, second measured clips. I'm not the only person on teamspeak who has a soundboard, also. I play my soundboard just as much as another user.
Other people, who will remain unnamed, have filled their soundboards to around 90 buttons, the majority of which are of Kyle (Hornet) speaking. Kyle is my main source of voice acting for my songs. When we record, I put the product on my soundboard so he can hear how it sounds.
I admit to playing my soundboard perhaps a bit too much, and I will try to make an effort to not do so in the future. But I have never recorded people's voices in excessive amounts and used them for my soundboard.

To offer a different side of this argument, I'm on TeamSpeak almost daily and have only had problems with sound board abuse twice afaik. Both times were from immature users who I haven't seen again, not people like z

Yes, I'm not saying Z is the worst or even the only offender. There are a lot of people who use them, but Z was a)the first and b)has the most prolific usage. And honestly, a lot of what Z has is funny. It's just the obnoxiously loud/spammy stuff that I (and others) find annoying. For example: Z's signature 'Z on the track' could be a good intro. Just don't play the rest of the song.
And Zack, even if it says low volume on your sound board doesn't mean we're hearing a low volume on the receiving end (I hear low volume, but that's just because I have your volume turned all the way down). Most of the time, especially with headsets, volumes are different between people.

Re: New Teamspeak Rule
I wasn't singling Z out at all, the opposite in fact. I've barely ever had trouble with sound boards at all on TS
