How does the points system work, like, it doesn't seem that the number of posts you have matters, what do the points mean?

I'm guessing that other forums probably use it as a ranking system (like have x punt of points to earn this rank) or something of that nature, but it's useless to this forum.

Shits 'n giggles. A year ago we had the idea to give people prizes at a certain amount of points, but since it wasnt able to remove points we didn't do that. We also had reputation points a while ago, untill that got full apeshit.
