[PSA] Your Feedback is Wanted!

So as I announced earlier today, we began changing the layout and theme of our forums. While I have done the majority of the work, I am curious as to what you guys have to say about the theme refresh! Is it good? Are there things you miss from the old version? Are there things that you think could be fixed in this version? Let me and the rest of the staff know!

I'm not too keen on the font of things such as the recent topics bar, it makes the letters really close together. Although I prefer it to the old font :P (You can never please me when it comes to fonts, I don't think I've ever come across a perfect font :3) [EDIT] I like the font a bit more every time I look at it :P I think it just looks different :P

And I like how the staff have the ranking thing but it would be better if it actually said their own rank, like mods and guides say Forum Administrator. 

Anyways just my opinions. On the good side it looks 120% better than before! :D

I'm fussy about fonts as well, and I'm trying to find the font we used before I updated the forums. But at least it's good knowing I'm not the only one concerned about this type of thing!

The whole staff ranking thing, aka unifying the GMA (Guides, Mods, and Admins) under one "Administrator" rank is just like how the GMA have the yellow, slightly bolded name. Unifying them all made more sense than separating them into their actual rank. On the forums, all staff share the same privileges and access levels, and have no restrictions.

It'd be good if it said our ingame rank somewhere, even though we all kind of have the same forum permissions (regarding staff vs non-staff). ForumAdmin could stay for all staff, but have a spot on everyone's that gave their ingame rank as well (Guest member t t+ art vet arch guide mod admin owner) so people can tell the difference between staffs, and so others can have their rank on here instead of just "Tree puncher" or something. Not everyone's active on forums, so ranks on posts can greatly differ from someone's ingame rank.

 Yeah that sounds like a good idea to me.

I'm in my phone right now and am using the computer version, works well for me!

And I like the new feel of the forums, but the other half says it's too-new, however I think I'm just like that because it looks different.

I also like the idea of what Lina said about the ranks being shown!

I demand new background and new colors. Also make everything Comic-sans and make the site Internet Explorer exclusive


I also agree with Angelina's idea. And perhaps new ranks for non-staff. I'm very demanding, sorry.

Lina's idea sounds good, but it is alot of work.

Especially in the beginning if we would use it. (for non-staff) we would have to add everyone to the right rank, which are alot of players.

So, I guess we aren't going to do this, maybe in the future or when someone has enough time. ALthough I AM for the staff diversity ranks.


Forum Administrator can stay, just the Ingame rank under it would be better.

I like the new format, it looks a lot more streamline and fancylike haha

I don't mind it. Really, as long as it isn't SUPER ugly and it works, I'm happy. But you did a good job, mad. Turned out really well. Bober's right though, the mobile-"friendly" version seems to have some font colours that are the same as the BG colours. (The reason I put friendly in brackets is because it doesn't seem to work well on my device: iPod Touch 4th Gen, 8GB running iOS 6.something)

Anyways, I like it.

Yeah the forums looks like crap on the iOS device. I have the same issue. It's gonna be a work in progress.

Likin' the new upgrade!

I find the forums easier to read now, compared to before the change.

It looks more like minecraft with everything being in boxes and shit

I hate it tbh.

I don't know if it has been addressed but; the contrast is really bad between the text and background when editing posts.

Text should be black on default, if not, press that button.

I like it, it feels a bit cleaner and more organised than before.

I absolutely love the new theme! The font is so much easier for me to read. The home page is easier on the eyes as well. I say do not change a thing.

It seems squished for me, but probably only because I got used to the old ones. This is fine in my opinion, i'll get used to this and I like the switch editor mode because it makes foruming easier for the majority, even though I still use the class [GIMMEDEMCOLORCODE=#235235][/COASDLORS] etc things.
