1.5 update?

So i updated my minecraft to 1.5 and obviously now i can't play on the server. i've tried downloading an mcpatcher so i could go back to 1.4.7, but with no luck. so when will the server be updated? i reeaally want to get back on :(

We will update once bukkit updates to 1.5. In the meantime you can try backdating your client to 1.4.7. There is a jar LOCATED HERE that you can use to backdate your client. It is a 1.4.7 jar.

i don't know what it is, but java won't let me open it, it says that an exception has occurred. so can i get a mod to go check my house for griefs and fix them?

Open?.... I don't think you open it...
I used this last time I updated by accident:

First, download the clean minecraft jar file
Type %appdata% into the start menu (or file search in windows explorer)
Open .mincraft folder, then open the bin folder
Delete the current Minecraft.jar file
Paste in the new (downloaded) minecraft jar file
Run mc

hopefully this will work for you... I forget where I got this from I saved the directions in a txt document in case I'd ever update by accident again

edit- also, idk what OS you're running but I use windows for mc; idk if this method works for mac/others but you could try I guess
