First, you need to download something called MC launcher by digiex.net. Download here: http://digiex.net/minecraft/mcvtool/
Next, you need to scroll to the bottom of the page and click Download more Jars
Then, scroll down and click Final 1.0.0 and it will download it into your bin. Don't worry, this will not overwrite your original minecraft.jar.
Finally, connect to Oasis SMP!

Oh and here is a pic of the what the launcher should look like (The little graphics at the bottom might not be the same):

Here is a list of what it can downgrade to:

Beta 1.9_prerelease3
Beta 1.9_prerelease4
Beta 1.9_prerelease5
Beta 1.9_prerelease6
Beta 1.9_rc1
Beta 1.9_rc2
Classic 0.30
Minecraft Demo by PCgamer
Minecraft Final 1.0.0
Minecraft Infdev 6-8-10
Snapshot 11w47a
Snapshot 11w48a
Snapshot 11w49a
Snapshot 11w50a
Snapshot 12w01a
Survivaltest 0.30

A lot, right?

You will see, after you download the Launcher and the jar file of your choice, under the log-in thing there is a choose jar file option. Click the arrow and choose the one you want.

There you go! You can still upgrade to 1.1 and play on Oasis without having to downgrade! :D

Oh, and you can also go back to Alpha and Beta and even SurvivalTest and Infdev!

Hope this helps, bye!

Did you scroll to the bottom of the Launcher and click the faint "Download More Jars"?

EDIT: It says Show All under Download more jars.

This helps you switch between them and download more very easily. You don't need to use it, tho. Not forcing you :D

well my computer can barely handle anything, so i am unwilling to download. Instead, I will simply not play and grumble about. BTW you dont have to agree with me here. nor do you have to listen to my grumblings. you just do what you want, and i'll happily grumble here...... alone.......

...what is there for your computer to handle other than minecraft? You've been on Oasis just fine before. This only downgrades it. It does this by taking and downloading a .jar file of your choice, and placing it in your bin. When asked to choose the file, it looks at your bin and looks for minecraft.jar, or any other .jar that has been placed there by it. The only things that don't show up would be lwjgl.jars and the jinput.jar files.

It's literally downloading a file, renaming it "minecraft", and placing it into a directory...

I understand where you are coming from. I have used this for months though and no problem :) But its fine. Its not complicated either, download, open it, download the right .jar, pick the right jar, and login. Done it MILLIONS of times. Btw, infdev is way better than indev. Its infinite and has a better terrain generator. Whereas, indev, relatively bad terrain and small borders. :P

And, Broad, I think this is better. Stating an opinion, remember? :P

Invert, I know its easy

I used google translate :P
