Cats are the best!!! Pretty much what I would suggest is get something for it to scratch (like a scratching post) so that it won't destroy your furniture. Make sure it knows to scratch just the scratching post and not anything else by positive (when it is using the scratching post) or negative (when it is scratching your furniture) reinforcement. Also make sure you train it to use a litter box as soon as you can (if it does not already know how to use one). Getting it situated while it's young is very important.

Also, if you can... PICTURES

OK I can help you :D,
1) Do not give it milk, if you do use Formula milk, dont give it ANY dairy as 90% of cats are lactose intolerant.
2) You need to brush them once a week minimum. Especially if they're long haired.
3) Splurge on a litter box, BELIEVE me its worth it, the $30 will save you in $1000's of good smelling sprays. Get clumping litter so you can sift it out. The litter box we use is http://bit.ly/2bj5Wic (Basically flip the litter box on its side and all the poop/clumped litter (which clumps when the cat pees on it) will go into the mini compartment you see on the side and it makes cleaning 1-2-3 easy).
4) Please DONT pick it up by its neck, hold it like a baby, because im sure 90% of the people who pick them up like that DONT know how to do it.
5) Dont give it a bad name ahhaha, also dont give it catnip till its a few months old (as it wont even affect him/her)
6) Give it a box, change the box every 2nd week, cats LOVE to sleep/play in boxes (atleast every cat ive ever come across, including my cat).

If you need help or have any questions you can ask me, torn or emna :)

I can't express how much I agree with this.
Cats need an area to play, and they do indeed love boxes.

Also, if you want it to get use to you faster and show you more affection, put an article of your clothing in the box.
Ex: A shirt that you have worn, but didn't get it all sweaty and dirty. Just something with your smell, but without being nasty lol.
