Did you guys know that we have an ad on Minecraft Explorer Pro iPod App? It's near the top ten in submissions, and it's benefited oasis so much. Whoever posted it: You know who you are. Thank you.
It's the reason me, Fuzzyplats, Mickdude2, JAMESTHEJRAGON, AustinCash, and hundreds of other players have joined the server. The little things like this are what make the world amazing.

I would not say hundreds oasis has had I believe around 2 thousand residents but I would say only a fraction came from that

Actually, oasis 's supposed two thousand residence are just registered people on the forums. Think of it this way: guests that get banned everyday is around 10-20. How can you be so sure that they didn't find the server from the app? The amount of people that have joined oasis in its lifetime is easily 5000.

Well, I was an indirect casualty. I found out about it because Dan found it then told Zwall then to JAMESTHEJRAGON then to me. But yeah, it's been a great way to get the word out about the GREATEST SERVER ON EARTH (if you can't figure out which server I'm talkin about, it begins with an O and ends with an Asis)
