Okay, I needed to vent.

Hello all.

I haven't been on this server in ages. I came back every once in a while to check on you guys, and man has it changed. I love all the new additions, and just everything. :)

I've been server-hopping to get some perspective on what servers are generally good, and what servers are generally bad. :P yuck.

I REALLY felt the need to vent after a visit to a server called "Pitforge" . Its actually pretty big, 30+ players on the weekends, what-not.

Me and friend1 were building a farm on Pitforge, and he let me stay at his little plantation he was making, so I could help with the making of the wall, the overall shape, and yhatta yhatta yhatta. I hopped onto tf2 real quick so I could play for a bit with a bro (freind2), and when my friend1 got back from being AFK, he saw that he was dead. He really didn't like me, and he gave off a weird vibe when trying to collab with him on some things. So, he quickly turned the gun towards me. Unfortuantely, as soon as he got back onto the server, I did too. To see what had happened.

I was also dead.

As soon I saw the "Respawn Screen" I immediately saw friend1 walking away from my corpse. Omg, I was pissed.
Under false assumptions, he had killed me. Idk why in hell he would either.

Heres the good part. Here is why I wanted to post here.

As soon I saw him walking away from my corpse I yelled : "What the fucking fuck friend1 ?!?!?!?!?!?!!!" "Why'd you kill meh?!?!?"
He responded with: "No I didn't." If anyone doesn't remember, I have a terrible anger problem. I'm steaming at this point.

So, in anger I proceeded to kill him. Without any due processes, I was quickly a target for the staff (There was an event earlier where Friend2 got banned almost spontaneously for spamming in chat 5 times, 5 letters, and I lashed out at the staff for their poor decisions,) So, friend1 bitched to the staff, and now this REALLY shitty mod is about to ban me. NOT JUST KICK. STRAIGHT UP BAN (Oh yeah, btw, the Mod's name is Jon) . This specific mod had a kind of vendetta against me earlier for this. I was quickly turned on by ALL of the staff members, and while I'm trying to type, I keep warping back to our plantation to get my stuff, and friend1 is there in my room, in my homeset area, killing me repeatedly. Everytime I even try to go get my stuff., I'm killed. I respawn at spawn, but I go to my home for safety, and my home is no longer any safe. What's even better, I get to a count of 15 kills on me. I chatted every single time I died. I tried to stay as long as I could in spawn, but I HAD to get home. RULE #11 ON THEIR RULES FOR THE SERVER: NO EXCESSIVE KILLING. My friend made it sound like I was coming back to "HIS" house to grief it.

Fuck.

Guess what?! Jon starts telling him just to keep killing me. Perfect.

So, after some angry remarks toward this specific staff member, I was banned. No questions. IT GETS EVEN BETTER.

I wanted to rant on their forums, but unfortunately, the username "Coldplaya" can't be registered. HMMM I WONDER WHY. I keep resending the confimation code, yet nothing happens.

Fuck. Again.

Then it made me think about how much better alot of other server's staff was.

THEN I THOUGHT OF THE KICKASS STAFF OASIS HAD!!!!!!!!

You guys have probably the best server staffing I have ever seen. Very restricted, organized and well-made. Plus the community is generally awesome, too ;)

Probably the only one who can't say tl;dr. Anyways, this is my philosophy on the issue. Oasis may not have the best staff, we get into fights sometimes and whatnot, but nobody's perfect. But i'll be damned if this isn't close!

No. There's no need to sink to that level.
We want our server respected, not looked down upon.

Well what do you say? Be the enemy? And then alot of people will recognise us and tell everyone how Oasis is, and we will probally attract alot of griefers to us seeking revenge or trying to join us.

Also Cold, nice thing telling this to us mate, having someone to put the head in the shoulder is good and we're always were for this ;)

I logged on to check it out. Surprise surprise, they had the same plugins as us for the most part :P
