Before the paragraph intimidates you from reading this, give it a chance, it might be interesting to you. My dad got a new HP laptop recently and since he is not as tech savvy as me he had me make sure it was working well. (I am actually using it to write this post Smile ). So when I first open it up and go through the set up windows (Windows 7) options, it runs fine. Then when all that was finished, it was running at a bad speed, it has an amd E-450 processor (running at about 1.65ghz), not the best, but it should have been running smoothly (and it has great battery life). After installing internet security, I get sick of the slow speed and open up the task manager and what do I see? "CPU Usage: 100%, Memory Usage: 2.3gb". In factory condition, while not even running an internet browser, the CPU uusage was 100%... WHY? Seriously the amount of useless bloatware running in the background was ridiculous. I then had to use the task manager and break out CCCleaner (which found about 50 or more registry errors) to get it to work at a good speed. The bloatware took up a ton, as proof, I am now using the same laptop to write this post in google chrome, and the CPU Usage ranges from 15-30%, and the Memory Usage at 1.36gb. My point: bloatware sucks. Is there anything we can do to stop this useless software from epicly slowing down a computer's speed?

I personally use Revo Uninstaller to get rid of the bloatware that comes pre-installed. Otherwise, I'd say just build your own machine. Obviously for laptops it's not as easy to just build one. Best way to not have bloatware is to purchase the laptop straight from the manufacturer, IMHO.
