This is a plan for a game I am going to make.

A sandbox game set in medieval times. Played from a bird’s eye view where you click on where you want to go or what you want to attack/interact with. It will include a basic levelling system where you get experience from killing monsters/people etc. There will be different weapons and more powerful ones will require higher levels to wield. Some enemies there could be are slime monsters, ghosts, ogres, trolls, bandits, dragons/drakes/wyrms/wyverns etc. There could be an area of darkness in which there are powerful dark versions of the normal enemies. There could also be powerful creatures called Darkkin that are rulers of the darkness area and very hard to defeat. There could be towns/villages/castles etc. in which you can buy and sell/get quests etc. There could also be elemental enemies in different parts of the map, such as fire, frost, nature and shock. There will be spells that you can learn and it will be possible to enchant weapons. Different types of magic could be more effective against different types of elemental creatures. Magic types that are effective against more types of elemental creatures will be more expensive to learn and require a higher level. There could be an arena in some of the towns where you can fight people. The world will be divided into tiles and when you want to change area you click on the arrow pointing the way you want to go to. There will be a chance that there will be a monster that you can fight. The player will be positioned in the centre of the tile and there will be four areas that a monster or group of monsters can be. If there is a monster or group of monsters standing in the way you want to go then you will have to defeat them or take an alternate route. If they aren’t in your way then you can fight them if you wish but you don’t have to. When you start off you will be in a dungeon. You will be given a weak weapon and have to fight some weak monsters to get out. The game will auto-save when you finish a quest/discover new area etc. You can also save when you want to in the menu. When you die you will be returned to the last place your game was saved. There will be certain quests that if you fail you will not be able to redo unless you load a previous save. Other quests you will be able to retry after you have failed by talking to the person that gave you the quest. There could be herbs that allow you to make potions and the herbs would differ depending on what area they are in. e.g. fire herbs, shock herbs, frost herbs and nature herbs. The currency in the game will be Jorsirs.

Please leave comments on what you think.

Sounds very cool. What will you being coding it with? Will it be a F2P game? (Sorry if you already answered these questions, but I am rather tired)

I'm doing it for school. Hopefully there will be at least a demo ready by 4th of November because that is when its due. Once its completed I will probably make it free, unless it is really good, in which case it wouldn't be more than $1. I will be doing it in Java.

you should consider making an android port at some time. I think that'd be pretty sweet. :)
