Hehe, there's a difference between a DJ and, I guess, someone who makes music. A musician? Maybe not, since a lot of electro artists don't know music theory. Skrillex does though, so you can definitely classify him as a musician. A dj is usually someone who dj's at a club, like, mixing songs together and such. There are some artists who add it to their name, DJ fresh, DJ Fenner, DJ s3rl to name a few.

By the way, if you want to know who Skrillex, this IS the internet...

Basically, he started making dubstep(?) a few years back, and got picked up by deadmau5, and became super popular. I think some people treat him a little bit too much like a god personally, and don't really know what dubstep is, because the definition is certainly not music by Skrillex.

To anyone who likes Skrillex, I recommend checking out some other people. I'll mention some of my favorite electro artists.

Indeed, he was actually the lead singer of From First To Last, before he became Skrillex.
They were a decently good band.

Oh, and I might have to take you up on the dubstep guitar cover.
I just have to figure out how to adjust my EQ accordingly.
