npc village?!?!

i was in singleplayer in the 1.8 pre-release<---giggity and i was digging underground and found this.



is this considered an npc mine or something?

This is a abandoned mineshaft. Cave spiders and some chests are in there.

oooohhhhh thanx hawk i thought is was like a npc mine or something i didnt know we had mineshafts now XDXD and yes i did find some chests but no spiders because i was in creative mode but there was mob spawners :P

alright yo! lol and how do i find npc villages? just fly around and look for buildings?

Those abondenned mineshafts are a nightmare! But on the other hand, so exciting!
I was mining and at 1 point i fell into one, i wandered around a little and then came across one of those cave spiders and those small things are pretty damn fast!!
After i killed a few i discovered that there are actual cave-spider monster spawners in those mineshafts!
Now that is not such a big deal, just put some torches around them or break them and you're done.
But the get to them is like a freakin' boss battle, you have to break though like 8 layers of cobweb to get to them and in the meantime the spawner keeps spawning those damn cave-spiders!!!

Anyway, i've searched trough the whole damn mineshaft at one point, and here's what i got:

• Found a total of 7 chest's
  
• Found 13 spawners
  
• Found 3 in-game bugs
  
• Found 22 diamonds
  
• Found 4 dungeons linked to the mineshaft
  
• Spend all the coal i found in the cave before the mineshaft on torches. (2+ stacks)
  
• Killed around 80 mobs
  
• Got poisened like over 30 times
  
• Got lost over 9000 times!
  
• And it took me almost 3 whole hours to complete only this 1 mineshaft...!
  
• AND I DIDN'T EVEN DIE ONES!

pretty pretty nice there leagle,more than i found lol but yea about the question above what are like npc villages? just like a town with npcs in it? and where can i find these npc villages?
