I think something along the way of different kinds of stone. Like we have multiple kinds of trees that look different in log form, but if he added things like granite or other minerals that would be decorative. The only colored building blocks are wool, if your looking for variety

Red stone block. It would be a LapisBlock but red. You would have to put the redstone dust in the furnace.
That would make redstone ingot fill up the 4x4 crafting station in your inv then it gives you a redstone block!

Much rarer objects than diamonds. You could craft the VERY best gear outta that, and also obsidian gear too :)

I'd personally like more mobs, both good and bad. Maybe some birds, whales, cats?. As for bad maybe some Sharks, Alaskan Bullworms(spongebob reference), and my grandmother?

a painting kit use the dyes with a bucket of water to make paint or something so you can paint anything that color

a ton of stuff. more then just wood and cobble steps. a fix so that water will go through doors when opened. those are a few. not really new blocks though. sorry, off answer!

Bosses, and full-sized dungeons, with walls that can only be broken through with a tool you acquire after defeating the boss of the dungeon.

More consistant mob-spawners

Creepers and spiders to burn in daylight

Stained glass

The ability to paint/saturate individual pixels of blocks with dyes

A good server wrapper they develop themselves, after hiring members of the bukkit team

A ranking system

Chat channels

Ability for mojang to endorse certain servers, and give the staff on them special stoofs, like capes.

I would like for him to add a block that fixes the game and removes legitimate bugs when ever it is placed or generated. I would also like for this block to replace item ID 1.

Anyway, I would love to see new mobs in the nether, and on the default world. I would also love if the nether had ores, like hellstone in terraria.
Anyway, new weapons like different types of swords, arrows, etc. The ability to make furniture. COAL AND REDSTONE BLOCKS. I would also love for him to introduce new modes. Organizing ctf and team battles is such a pain. Also for sponges to be re-added. Less foggy lava. Gates for fence doors. Paintings you can paint, books you can write in, paper you can jot notes on, And have a craftable pen and ink vile using this:

This is pretty much what I want plus new weapons, friends lists, ability to change skin while in the minecraft client, more mobs, and maybe put the finite water mod in there.

Hmm, some nice ideas here.

A couple of things which i would like to see and wouldn't really be all that hard to implement would be;

- Dyed wood - plank + dye = dyed wood ---- would be good for house designs in general.
- Mobs that can actually open wooden doors
- More mobs
- mobs that spawn in open areas with light (like pigs/sheep)
- vertical half blocks.

there are more, but these will do for now.

I want to be able to paint walls, make redstone blocks, and different kinds of stairs. Boss type mobs and super rare minerals would be cool.
My idea for a super rare mineral is a metal, maybe named Naquadah (which is from the stargate universe) or electrosteel, which would appear in the nether, and boss level mobs would spawn near it. The metal would glow slightly, be acid green and be mine-able only with a diamond pick. It could only be processed by a machine would that would use the electricity from the lightning bolts through a lightning rod. It could be used to make super fast train tracks, durable, ultra powerful swords and arrows with a chance to cause the target to be hit by lightning, and possibly a detector which would indicate your proximity to gold or iron.
