Hey, I've been getting the lag spike of death a lot lately, and it's appearing more and more each day. It makes my system completely unresponsive to the point where I have to shut it down. I'm tired of shutting the computer down after twenty minutes of mc, any suggestions?

Never mind, I got it fixed! 
Just started playing on a lower resolution, and that did the job. Although I heard that the lag spike of death is caused by autosave. I'm kinda confused about that.
